What is a good auto warranty company for a used vehicle?

Posted by admin

I have a used vehicle and I am looking for a auto warranty to cover my vehicle for a reasonable price…a reputable company!

Thanks!

HappilyAware, I've always purchased an auto warranty for every vehicle I've owned in the last 7 years. In the beginning I used to get them from the dealer, but I've found it's less expensive to get them from a auto warranty company. http://www.simpleautoquotes.com/Auto-Warranty.html They offer free quotes, so it can't hurt to see how much one would cost for your vehicle.

They're all rip-offs. Even if you get a "bumper-to-bumper" warranty from these 3rd parties, there will be fine print about what is covered and what isn't covered. If you've been maintaining your car properly and following the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, it should run for at least 100K miles without any major repairs. And if there are any repairs to be made, just make sure you find a reputable & recommended mechanic who won't try to rip you off.

the best warranty you can get is preventive matinence. all warranty used car warranties are quite expensive and have many loopholes and many ways to void your warranty. i had one on one of my trucks and nothing was covered and only certian shops could do the work and you still had to pay for it and you would only get a percentage of your money back.

to be honest.. no warranty is worth the cost. i may seem like giving them $2000 would be a good deal and they can cover things that would cost more than that to get fixed yourself, but they wont do that. they always will have an excuse of why they wont cover somthing. '

say your tranmission go's out, you go to have it fixed under warranty. no matter what happens they will say somthing like this "the shift soldenoid is shot, not covered under warranty", or "transmission was worn due to abuse, pay us out of pocket".

serisously, ive been through 2 used vehicle warrantys. they are not worth it! they are nothing but liars and scammers. please just save your money and when something goes wrong, go fix it! at least it will then get fixed.

I just paid $19,000 for my 2005 Silverado Z71 and $1800 for a powerstrain plus warranty. that suposedly covers the COMPLETE power steering system. I got the gm dealership, drop my truck off to have the steering shaft replaced within a week after buying it. I come back to pick my truck up and they tell me "this part wasnt covered under warranty, you will have to pay out of pocket for the repair or you cant drive your truck off the lot". serisouly this is how "extended" warranties do you.

I know this was a long rant, but I hate liars and scammers.

    good luck.
